At the banquet we announced that Ban Mua Việc would contribute their own money to the picnic cost. Well, we lied. With your enthusiastic participation in the DVD sales, and with Kimmie “watching the budget like a hawk” (as she often reminded us), we did not need any contribution.
In fact, Kimmie found enough left over money to refund Hung Hawaii half of his registration fee. If you noticed, he didn’t sit down for dinner and the restaurant didn’t charge us for his meal. So Hung Hawaii “only” had to pay $30, plus the cost of his plane ticket and the agony of leaving his wife alone with 5 sick kids, to entertain us that evening (on an empty stomach). Talk about dedication!
At the beginning of the project, we set the goal of finishing it without having any left over cash. We failed. There is a remaining balance of $2. It wouldn’t be right to divide this lump-sum among Ban Mua Việc. We don’t deserve it. Please let us know what to do with this money.

Thank you for doing such a great job with sales & marketing. But did you forget that your compensation was based on fixed salary rather than commission? “What was the fixed salary then,” you might ask. Well we’d like to remind you that your salary was a 10% discount to the initiation fee you supposed to pay when you joined “Ban Mua Việc” (why do you think they call it “Ban Mua Việc?).
